"Sometimes those who have less, give more.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
A short clip was first uploaded last July 28, 2014, in "Spread the message" Facebook page reminded us to give something back even just a little for those who are in need. These scenarios were taken in Santa Monica, California.
In this video, a hungry guy kindly asks some strangers in a food court if they can share or give him portion of their meal. Unfortunately, no one grants his request and even a bit of food was not given.
The poor guy then went out to the streets and asks a homeless man the same favor. Surprisingly, he gets a lovingly response not thinking twice to spare him some food.
A group of friends started this social experiment and Kameron Pollock was one of them. He said that it came from an inspiration when he watched a similar video made by Sam Pepper, a YouTube prankster, about a homeless guy sharing his pizza selflessly to a man who he never knows.
This video was re-uploaded by a Facebook user named Marty Willchuk and as of writing, it now has an enormous 715,376 shares and 70,455 likes.
According to The 2013 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to congress, more than 22 percent (equivalent to 136,826 people) of the nation's homeless population in 2013 in California. That by being said, California has the largest accounted percentage of homeless population across United States.
Spread the message. Pass it to your loved ones. This is a reminder to help and care for others no matter how much or how less you have. It's how big your heart that counts.sources:
