DAVAO, PHILIPPINES -- A customer that goes with the name Nikki Vea uploaded a photo in Facebook on Thursday, November 20 and she wrote in the description: "Mao ni ang tinuod na picture na burger from MCDONALDS BAJADA na naay WORM. oheeem. SPOT THE WORM! — feeling luod to the max!"

That caption was written using Cebuano language. Probably, the customer was just saying that the cheeseburger in that picture was truly disgusting due to the alleged worm she found inside of it. She also dares the viewers to "SPOT THE WORM."

Eto yung totoong picture na Burger galing sa Mcdonald's Bajada na may worm/uod. Spot the worm/uod. Feeling kadiri to the max!

Nikki Vea further explained on the comment section that it was her workmate who took a bit on that cheeseburger and once they found the 'extra ingredient' they talked to the management of the Bajada branch of McDonald's but no further action on the side of the store was taken.

Upon researching this issue, we found out an article made by Kicker Daily News about a McDonald's customer named Susan Longuinsa filed a police report on November 14 past 2 a.m. after consuming almost half of the cheeseburger she ordered from the same branch (Bajada) with an alleged live worm.

Susan told that she "might have eaten a part of it." Unfortunately, we can't officially announced that these two incidents were connected due to lack of evidence.

The case of Susan is investigating by the Davao City Health Office and the Bureau of Food and Drugs while Nikki Vea's photo was posted in Davao City's Public Safety and Security CC/911/TMC Support Group's Facebook page on Friday morning but it was deleted already as of writing.

As of the moment, the franchise is aware of the incident but yet to issued an official statement to address this issue.

Facts about McDonald's Cheeseburger

As many rumours roaming around against McDonald's saying that they are using worm meat to make patties for its burgers, they answered back to end this controversial issue by inviting and external camera crew to film what's inside their factories and how a big fast food chain like them are making their burgers.

Also, in the website of McDonald's, they admitted of using a material called "pink slime" in its burgers but already removed it since 2011. In addition, one of the main ingredients they are using to its burger buns and rolls is the azodicarbonamide or ADA. This chemical is being normally used for nonfood products such as soles of the running shoes and yoga mats. ADA can be found mostly in the plastics industry as the "chemical foaming agent" of choice.

Another disclosure was made by the franchise on using (genetically modified organism) cattle injected with growth hormones as the primary source of the beef they are using to make burger patties.
