Mayor Rodrigo Duterte finds Human Rights Watcher (HRW) hypocrites. This is according to his text message he sent to media last Tuesday. He also fired back at them in his statement.

DAVAO CITY, Philippines - Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte answered back at Human Rights Watch or also known as HRW based in New York City for which we know was the group behind pushing the government to investigate Duterte for an alleged participation in extrajudicial killings.

In the text message sent by Duterte to media last Tuesday night, he said that HRW people are all hypocrites. He further said: "You cannot even protect the human rights in your own country, the American-Africans and other minorities, not to mention your inutility in dealing with the genocide going on in Africa and others countries."

Phelim Kine, deputy director for HRW's Asian branch, pushed to investigate Duterte for possible participation in vigilante killings committed by the so-called Davao Death Squad (DDS).

Kine added that despite the overwhelming public support of Duterte for killing criminals, he could be ousted as public official. According to him, there have been 1,000 extrajudicial killings in Davao City since Duterte became Mayor in 90s.

"The Philippine government should take zero-tolerance approach to any public official who publicly endorses extrajudicial killings as an acceptable means of crime control," Phelim Kine of Human Rights Watcher said.

But Duterte fired back:
"the bleeding hearts of US-based crime watch: You want a taste of justice, my style? Come to Davao City, Philippines, and do drugs in my city. I will execute you in public."
