Instead of asking for help, this teen mother asked permission from 911 to shoot an intruder.

If there's one thing this story will teach you, it's to never underestimate the courage of a distraught mother. This man from Oklahoma was not expecting the doomed fate that was about to befall him after trying to break in to a house of a teen mom.

New year's eve was supposed to be festive and lively, but teen mom Sarah McKinley found herself alone with her infant son in the house. Sarah was recently widowed after her husband passed away from cancer a week before, leaving her and their three-month old son on their own.

Out of all nights, she was disturbed to find out that two strangers were trying to break inside the house. She immediately recognized the first one as her stalker. You would expect her to be threatened, but Sarah showcased unexpected bravery that saved their lives from potential danger. Instead of panicking, she stayed calm and dealt with the situation.

Sarah moved their couch in front of the door to serve as a barricade. She then proceeded to the bedroom to feed her crying son. After soothing him, Sarah called 911 and this is how their conversation went:

I'm here by myself with my infant baby. Can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?
Are your doors locked?
Yes, I've got two guns in my hand. Is it okay to shoot him if he comes through this door?

Sarah asked the most unexpected thing you'd ever think of. Instead of crying desperately for rescue, she asked permission to shoot the intruder which apparently surprised the 911 dispatcher who answered:
I can't tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby.
The moment the first intruder entered the house, Sarah aimed her pistol and fired, instantly killing the 24-year old man who was found with a 12-inch knife. The other intruder surrendered himself to the police.

Meanwhile, authorities have identified the shooting 'justified' because according to the law, anyone is allowed to shoot unauthorized person who breaks into his property. In an interview, Sarah added:
There's nothing more dangerous than a mother with a child.
