Netizens quickly responded to support Colmenares. A certain Efren J. Jalimao said “Bastusan na ba sa KAMARA, explain the rationale but never turn off a microphone especially when a Representative is using it!”
Other celebrities like Juana Change, Robin Padilla and veteran actress Celia Lopez also showed disbelief about the Congress inaction on the override resolution.
Before the adjournment of the session, 213 congressmen were present, enough votes to master the 2/3 vote to override PNoy’s veto on SSS Pension Hike Bill, which Colmenares is a main author.
