Grab Philippines rolled out a new service in Metro Manila.
Grab Philippines is offering a new service in Metro Manila using a modified and air-conditioned jeepney, which it has dubbed as "GrabJeep."
GrabJeep goes through EDSA and it said in a Facebook post that it started its trips on Fri, Feb 19. It runs from 6am to 10pm daily. The EDSA-bound service makes stops in Magallanes, Ayala, Buendia, Guadalupe, Boni, Shaw, Megamall, Ortigas, Santolan, Araneta, and SM North EDSA.
Grab is the company behind the GrabCar and GrabTaxi service and it provides commuters with convenient booking options using a mobile app. The firm also launched GrabBike in Metro Maniala. But the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) suspended its GrabBike service due to regulation issues.
The LTFRB earlier said the operations of GrabBike should cease until the Board and the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) promulgate guidelines on the service.
Aside from the Philippines, Grab also operates in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Grab is Southeast Asia's leading ride-hailing platform that offers the fastest booking service for taxis, private cars and motorbikes through one mobile.
