This urn turns your ashes to a tree after you die

This clever invention gives a whole new meaning to "life after death".

There's finally a unique way to relive your deceased loved ones from the grave. No, it definitely doesn't involve reanimating them back from the dead, so zombie apocalypse enthusiasts--hold your horses. A Barcelona-based company developed a creative and environment-friendly way to leave a lasting imprint when you die.

Presenting Bio-Urns, the biodegradable urn which can transform your remains to a tree of your choice after you die. This clever invention is developed by Spanish design studio Estudiomoline that claimed to have created the urn to provide people a fresh outlook on death. The company also aims to offer clients the extraordinary opportunity to 'return' as a tree after they die.

Bios Urn changes the way people see death, converting the 'end of life' into a transformation and a return to life through nature. It is a smart, sustainable, and ecologically friendly way to approach what’s, probably, one of the most important moments in human life.

The Urn is guaranteed to be environment-friendly as it is made of biodegradable materials such as coconut shell, compacted peat and cellulose--living to its description as "respectful to the environment in all the ways possible." It is composed of two parts: a top capsule where a seed of your choice will be placed, and a bottom part that will hold the ashes.
It is worthy to note the importance of the structure of the urn. The seed is strategically placed above the ashes to allow it to germinate, away from the ashes and its high acidity. By the time the urn starts to break down, the seed's roots are already strong enough to held them together until the entire set becomes a part of the soil.

The entire set is worth $145 or almost P7,000 which is considerably a small amount to pay in exchange for this brilliant invention. Clients can choose from a variety of seeds such as oak, maple, pine, gingko, beech and ash which will be included inside the urn upon delivery. One can also choose to get an urn and use a seed of their own choice. The urn can also be customized to grow a smaller plant if you don't have the space to grow a full-sized tree.

Indeed, grieving the death of a loved one can take months or even years, especially if they left nothing to preserve their memory. Hopefully, the presence of the tree can help lessen the pain of the people left in the same way it can help the planet replenish its continuous depletion of trees. This is definitely a way to go, with a style.

Supported by more than 15 years building products, brands and experiences, Bios Urns offers a smart, sustainable and ecologically friendly way to approach what’s probably one of the most important moments in human life.
