7-year-old boy who looks an old man


A rare disease is causing this very young boy to look an old man.

Children supposedly look youthful and full of energy but this very rare disease may cause them to age quickly and turn them into very old men.

Progeria is the name of the disease and Mohammed Abdelmajeed is one of its victims. the young boy is only 7 years old but he already looks like an old man.

"When I'm outside, people look at me, they laugh at how I look, and I go back home and cry," Mohammed said during an interview.

His parents even resorted to removing mirrors inside their house so the child would not see himself and breakdown over what he has become.

Progeria is a genetic disorder that causes accelerated aging in children. It is rare, affecting only one in twenty million children, according to Progeria Research Foundation.

It is a very saddening disease because a child who has it only has an average life expectancy of 14 years.
Young Boy Trapped in Old Man's Body

This seven-year-old boy is trapped inside the body of an old man. Mohammed suffers from progeria, a rare and fatal genetic condition.
